I've read that it's possible to run a ruby script with LSL... But I couldn't understand how?
Is it true? Can I really run an external script with LSL?
Thank you.

Can you please show me a LSL example?
Also, if that's the case can I use any kind of script, like Perl, PHP, etc. ? |

All the info you need for the LSL side is here:
http://www.lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llHTTPRequest As for the Ruby side, you're on your own, but I would start here: http://www.ruby-lang.org/ |

As long as it's a webserver, returning output, you can use anything you want. PHP, Perl, ASP, Ruby, Java, etc. Hell, even JavaScript as long as it's valid output.

Try visiting the Rubyists of Second Life. Their HQ is in Kula. They might be able to answer these types of questions for you.
