Okay. I'm working on some fast-response hardware, where I might not even have time to type out a full command. So...

Function:: scan for all nearby agents, and give a dialogue with each person (first name and last initial?), and if more than 16 results, have a 'more' button. Clicking the listed name will return the person's key for... giving them and item or bashing them upside the head.

Bonus:: Add !find firstname chat functionality for searching, since I can never get it to work right when I try to do it. And, have it mention if the person enters scan range again.

Prize: L$500 and a Barrel of Monkehs!

There's no way of detecting more than 16 agents in one sensor scan. You'll have to have multiple objects in multiple areas if you want to do that. Which would likely be a pain, because they'd have to be physically in different places to scan different areas, and then feed back to a central server. What sort of application is it for, an attachment, a vehicle, something set in place?

For an attachment. Expecting a large crowd scenario where it would get more than 16 people nearby. I suppose I can drop that requirement.

How's it going Burke? Someone responded to you yet?

When you say you want a "dialog" of names and you can click a name, I assume you are flexible on how that is presented, as you can't actually click on the text in an llDialog.

Also, with your find functionality, do you want it queued up, so there are multiple finds active at once, or do you want to replace one with the other, if you issue a new one. I assume you'll want a command to turn it off as well?

Id be willing to make a no-copy/no-mod script for L$500. Bo-mod/no-trans will cost you an additional L$500. Full rights will cost you L$2000. You wont need to drop the >16 requirement.

Got basic function code done yesterday. I'd pay L$2500 for 16+ options, and if it could possibly work over a wider area (repeaters okay) than 96m.

Get the Box Office - pretty much addresses your need to scan a wide area, give notecard/item/whatever on arrival. Just modify it to suit you needs - fully automated - and it is FREE :)

Where's my finders fee ;) ?

The announcement is here:

/110/21/97893/1.html

When I went to get a copy a couple of months ago, the Box Office was not at the location in the thread.

I IMed Peter Newell and got a copy directly from him. I'll drop my copy on you the next time I am in-world, but try to get your own copy anyway in case my copy includes some modifications I made during testing.
