newb question....

I am trying to use touch_start, but when I touch it, nothing happens. I right click on the object and the touch menu option is dimmed. What's wrong?

Here is the testing script I wrote.

default
{
collision_start(integer total_number)
{
llSay(0, "Hit";);
}
touch_start(integer num)
{
llSay(0, "Touched";);
}
}

I don't see anything wrong. Make sure the script is set to running (checkbox in the lower left corner), and make sure you are on script enabled land. :)

The script is fine... But the touch menu being dimmed sounds weird. Is this a newly rezzed prim? Megaprim? Locked? I think, as long at that menu is dimmed, the ability to touch that prim might not work. So, even though the script is right, the prim doesn't have the even to trigger it. (^_^)

I got it now. Thanks. The running checkbox was unchecked. Haha...still getting used to the SL interface.

Been scripting a year and a half now, and I still get caught by that from time to time.. lol
