Sort of relevant to scripting if you ever wonder if your object to object emails are not working.

I decided to completely clear my land to recover prims from long forgotten projects.
Updating all my boat's server address takes about 6 hours using an out of world server.
To avoid this I slid my In-World server over the sim boundary into a Linden ocean.

Once the land was cleared I turned the server off so I could monitor time dilation.

I turned the server back-on expecting a flood of incoming messages - nothing !
After a fairly long period of frustration, testing this and testing that....I moved the server back into the Linden ocean.
Result a ton of incoming messages.....once the email queue cleared I could move the server back onto my own land and it works perfectly.

Moral - turn of llGetNextEmail prior to moving your server into an adjoining region.

A good tip. Thanks for sharing that!

I recall once moving a rack of 4 JEVN servers from one sim to another that was about 5 sims away. If I had taken them back into inventory, I would have had to reset every vendor in every store where I sold stuff, which at the time would have meant updating something like 8 to 10 vendors in 6 or so sims. Fortunately, there was a connected series of sims for the entire route.

My solution? I sat on the rack and move-edited the rack, with 4 servers in it, all the way to the new location. Riding the server rack like a witch on a broomstick!

Fortunately, my servers only sent e-mail once a day, and then only if that particular server had sales that day. So I didn't need to shut mine down.

Could you have attached it and teleported?
