object_rez(key id) is only called if you are rezzing something via the script

Oo there is nutten wrong with the script lol it just needs converting.

If you cant convert this one Anyone that has an elevator script that works off Call buttons to tell the floors. Would be fantastic also =)

Well evidently there is something wrong with your script or you wouldn't be here

Look in the wiki for object_rez & on_rez. Your script isn't setting the initial reference point when it is being rezzed.

It makes it kind of difficult to help someone when the answer is given and then the answer is subsequently dismissed. We all volunteer our time to help people here with no recompense. Ruthven took time out of her personal life to try to help. If your not happy with the answer then I would suggest taking it to the Products Wanted forum and paying someone.

i'm a guy btw, ruthven is the name of a fictional vampire, i believe originated in some novels written in the 1800's

just forget it . . . and Jesse it was subsequently dismissed since it wasent even close to what I was asking for. The script needed converting to work a different way. its already functional.

that was a very rude comment. i tried to answer your question and you indirectly told me i didn't know what i was talking about, when obviously it was you who didn't. and this is a forum, people talk in forums. see this definition.



also, coming off rude and impatient may deter people from wanting to help you. we don't learn our script skills in one day. most of the people in the forums have been scripting for years and probably still have lots to learn. you could have been more patient and alot less arrogent and waited to see if someone may have been able to help you a little more than what i already offered but you denied. instead you made a rude comment about a couple of people exchanging a little chat to clarify/correct a comment that was said about you refusing my help. i bet you're one of those customers that goes to a restaurant and acts like you're the only one that matters within a crowd of customers. and then you don't tip the waiter for perfectly good service because he didn't refill your water glass as quickly as you think he should
