Hi I want to build a square dance floor dance floor with a circular rotating prim in the centre and have it all linked together, but i cant seem to find any info on how to do this!

either target omega in your rotating child prim, or set rot called in some sort of loop will get you what you want... texture rotation is also a posibility...
best methods are texture or target omega rotation for this application.
I prefer target omega because I know it can be turned off in a viewers options if they have a slow vid card

I would definately use texture F/X over actual animations here. If you are making a dance floor, one has to assume you will have all the other club things as well. And people. Which is very laggy in general. Just use the texture zoom or rotate. Or a combo of the two even. They are in the library.
