Turning Avatars via attachment?

I searched the forums, and I'm somewhat confused. Is it possible for an attachment to
turn its wearer to face a certain direction? I understand from the archives that the functions to do this have been deprecated, but several workarounds (using pushes and whatnot) were suggested.

So far, nothing I've tried has worked really well. Am I just SOL?

Turning the avatar is actually client side, reported to the server. This means there is (currently) no way to turn the avatar via script. Moving an avatar you can do.
