looking for a gift giver script

I'd like a script to give a free gift out to anyone that comes within a certain definable range and stays there for a definable amount of time. For example, a 10m radius for 5 minutes, where I can set the distance, time and gift. Anyone have this type of script or can you make one?

i think i saw you post this in the products wanted forum, even if you didnt i came up to the same thought details

computers are stupid ... they only do what you tell them so scripters have to think out everything to get the goal

things that pop to mind

if someone is standing there for 10 min will it give them 10 gifts?

is that the same gift 10 different times or 10 different gifts ?

if you want it to only give one gift per person is there a timeout before that person can get another gift?

(not a question really) if no will you be willing to provide outside serverspace (ie webserver) becuase LSL can quickly clog up and crash due to its tiny memory thus loosing ALL data

theres probally 100000 others i could ask but please think about how you want this to work and then you should be able to get a better response ... and hammer out the details with whomever decides to pick this up

The timer is just so that it doesn't give a gift to anyone passing by. It would be one gift per person per entrance into the designated area. The gifts would be free, so if someone wants to leave the area and return, they would receive the same gift again. But as long as they stayed within the range (the store) they would only recieve one gift. There will only be one gift given out at a time. I would envision the script and the gift going inside a prim, with the range dictated from that prim.

there would be no timeout before a person can leave, return and recieve another gift.

Basically, I want to give a box with a tee-shirt or other trinket and a landmark inside to anyone that comes into my store for longer than a minute. doesn't have to be anything fancier than that.
