Cool, I'll add some info about the insanely slow base64 functions. (250-300ms per call, even on tiny strings).

Can you post sim stats when you conducted your test?

For instance, if you were in an unloaded sim at 5000 fps, I shouldn't expect to see the same performance in a more "average" sim at 300 fps.

Other fun stats would be to see how listeners, timers and while(1) scripts compare.

I'm told that listens got a lot cheaper in 1.5, but I don't have a nice sandbox to confirm this.

sim was at 1000fps.

Empty sim, if we dont talk about the somewhat overloaded 27-node shout broadcast network.
