Permissions correct only after rez?

I set a script to next user Copy, No Mod, Transfer, then loaded it into a newly rezzed object set to buy.

When buying it, the buy dialog shows it correctly as just No Mod. However, after buying it, the script is set to No Copy, No Mod, No Transfer. If you then take the containing object into inventory and rez it again, everything is correct.

This seems like a bug and I reported it, any thoughts? It kind of sucks for my purposes.

Are you also setting the permissions on the object containing the script?

If you put a copy/no-mod script into a no-copy/mod object, the aggregate permissions will show as no-copy/no-mod in inventory

if fact, if you put a no-mod script into a full perms prim, the user can't even rename the object in inventory since it shows as no-mod.

Debug and then debug permissions might be your friend (what Bitzer says is 100% right btw).

Debug permissions takes a bit of reading, but I think it goes:

B(ase)
O(wner)
G(roup)
E(???)
N(ext owner)
F(???)

One of E and F is the thing that shows in the inventory I think.

And moVe, Copy, Mod, Transfer for the associated letter codes. If there's an * that means the properties you're seeing will be modified because something else in the object and/or contents has different properties.

Right, but that's not really what I'm talking about. That's there to control what user's do in their own inventory, that is they can't copy it in inventory for example.

The problem is that in the object inventory the permissions are shown correctly in the buy dialog, then once the buy is done all permissions are off in the object inventory, then if you take it into AV inventory and re-rez it, the permissions are correct in the rezed object inventory.

Apparently the permissions don't get reset correctly until after the rez which is a problem.

That sounds like an inventory bug - report it if you can repro it.

Already have, it is completely reproducable unfortunately.
