Pose Ball scripts

I use CrystalShard's free poseball script (4.3) in a few items that I have made. I regularly go though phases where I get error messages from the items:

llStopAnimation: Script trying to stop animations but agent not found

llStopAnimation: Unable to find agent, releasing animation permissions

What do these mean? If I unlink things and relink, they go away for a little while, but they always come back. How do I get them to stop?

Thanks!!

I don't currently have a copy of the script - but my guess is that residents are TPing out of the sim, or even logging out of SL, without first standing up.

Are these camping charis? I have heard that many campers log off while sitting (and on some chairs continue earning money by doing so.)

No, I thought that at first too but I can see on the map that the people are still sitting in the gazebos or nearby. I've seen that message when someone logs off without standing up.

I've rebuilt these poseballs and relinked the gazebos and things are fine for a while, but then I start gettting the same messages. Although, I am not usually standing right there so I don't see exactly what happens.

I was just curious as to what triggers those error messages as I doubt it is something in CS's script, so I assume it must be some boneheaded thing I did wrong in my building.

The only time I usually see a message like that is when someone logs out or TP's away when still seated on one of my items. If you don't stand up before you leave, it confuses some pose ball scripts.

I believe I've seen this if someone is already using animations--i.e. they either triggered them from the Animations folder or they're using an Animation Overrider AND the poseballs at the same time. Wonder if it's related?

Is this the script that you're talking about? If so, seeing roughly, I found that she didn't expect that you would link each balls. Even though someone stood up, the ball would keep grabbing his key. So whenever another ppl sit on another linked balls, that ball is going to stop his animation regardless of his existence.
Change the name of each ball and make sure which says that.
I guess the scrpt needs to reset just after stopping animation.

Yes, that is the script. I will give changing the names a shot, that may be it since I have a two named sit and two named lounge.

Thank you!!!!

O, oh, Changing name is just to make sure which ball says that. So that is not the solution. I guess the ball which nobody isn't sitting says that.
Easy solution is that you don't link balls to the seat and lounge, neadless to say balls each other. You can link one ball to one seat or one lounge. But I don't think you have to link them at all because you won't move them frequently. Click Broadcaster? Ok, you can link one ball to one Click Broadcanster each. hmm how luxe her pose ball is... :p

Well, I created the poseballs using the script and they are all linked because the gazebo is for sale.

I know nothing about scripting beyond how to change a number or two, so if there is a better script I could purchase or use I would love some more direction.

Much thanks!!

Isablan, I modified the script and posted it on that Libraries' thread.
Wait for Nada Epoch's decision. :p

Thank you Seagel. I did change the names on each poseball last night and then sat in the poses and was getting the same error messages, I am not wearing an AO. This line in the script instructions:

3)Using link_messages
Link messages are very useful when you want to put a whole bunch of pose balls in a single linked set object. For example, a chair or a bed with more then one poseball. This way you can turn the balls on and off by a single click anywhere on the object, and without using the evil Voice command option. Remember: Every ball that listens for voice commands = lag. This is why the clicking option is the default.

How to do it: Just link your poseballs with the furniture piece as you always do. Then, once done, put the click-broadcaster script in the ROOT PRIM of the furniture. It will handle the rest.

You do NOT NEED to put any other copy of the click broadcaster anywhere else. This includes the poseballs.

Seems to indicate that the script is fine to be used in a linked set of objects with multiple poses. I had not used the click broadcaster but maybe I will add that in now that I understand it better.

:D We should have read that thread more carefully! That was linked another thread and Strife Onizuka had already solved this problem at his 4.3.1.
I think his version is sophisticated much more than mine. :o
