Can somebody help me before I jump off a tall virtual building?

I know this is really obvious, but I cannot figure it out and I've been to the LSL wiki and a couple other places. I just want to get an attachment to say a phrase which includes the owner's name (or the just first name would be even better) upon attachment.

I already have the llSay (0,"Blah Blah Blah";); upon attachment but I need llSay (0,"Blah Blah Blah" + "Owner Name????";);

Help...Obviously I cannot script my way out of a paper bag.

Thanks in advance!!

Disclaimer: Any scripts I am banging my head over will probably end up in products of an adult nature.

llSay (0, "Blah Blah Blah " + llKey2Name(llGetOwner()));

But unless it really needs to broadcast this to everyone within chat range, you will probably want to use llInstantMessage to send just them a message instead, like this :

llInstantMessage(llGetOwner(),"Blah Blah Blah " + llKey2Name(llGetOwner()));

"llInstantMessage(llGetOwner(),"Blah Blah Blah " + llKey2Name(llGetOwner()))" would send an instant message to the owner. Would there be any reason not to use llOwnerSay for this purpose?

One could also use llWhisper to limit the range of the message as compared to llSay.

Yup. I'm (personally) just in the habit of using llInstantMessage over llOwnerSay because you will still hear the message if you're far away, or will get it as an offline IM e-mail if you're not online. But for an attachment it shouldn't matter, it's always within chat range and the script is only going to be running while your online.

Thanks, Logan!!

I'll either use llWhisper or llSay because the phrase has comedic value in a party situation.

yeah, because we need clues that someone had sex last night or has poor personal hygiene in SL too (some things you know, and wish you didn't)

I suppose on the bright side we can have virtual stds that tell a person in advance... should be a boon for all the people that can't avoid them IRL =P

(or the just first name would be even better)

llSay (0, "Blah Blah Blah " + llList2String( llParseString2List(llKey2Name(llGetOwner()), [" "], []), 0));

On the minus side, llInstantMessage delays the script for 2 seconds, which LLOwnerSay does not.
