hi all

im doing a little build of a ship and im close to the 31 prim limit for the flight script i have.

im left with some minor details to build, seats and stuff like that. i want to save prims on the seating so i was trying to find a way to make it possible to have a multi sit prim with a poseball script

i was wondering if either of these 2 options are possible

1 : 1 prim with multiply poseball scripts, so when one person sits, they're moved to an xyz, then a second person sits they're set to another xyz but with an actual sit pose (not just the sit on a prim default thing)

or

2 : 1 prim, 1 poseball script but that handles more than one AV sitting

if anyone can help it would be cool

cya all

One prim, one seated avatar. Use other prims already in the build for seating.

The solution of defining sit targets in other existing prims is easiest, but you can in fact do it with only one prim using llSetLinkPrimitiveParams() and/or a sit target that moves once an avatar occupies it. Tracking what avatars are still sitting becomes a bit more complicated though, and I wouldn't expect traditional poseball type scripts to handle it.

the driver acrually sits on the steering wheel or on the front of the car.

First, you don't need poseballs. You can put sit targets in seats themselves. For example, using something like this, available full perms for L$1 at SLX:

Second, someone solved the problem of multiple sit targets on a single prim, using a method like you mentioned, IIRC. They posted details on this forum, so try searching. Good search terms might be "multiple sit target prim".
