i know this is getting some kinda perverse, but i really would like if there is a possibility:
i want to create a terminal in second life, with which one could browse in real (sounds odd i know) internet. so basically, the monitor of the terminal should be a browser like ie or mozilla and display everything and work just like a browser does when opened. does anyone know have any idea?
p.s.:the closest related thing i found is opening an url in real browser, but is it possible to open a url in second life without leaving it and starting the browser?

It's somewhat possible, but it would involve using XY text, and retrieving the information via http requests, but forget images, java, flash, etc.

You might want to wait for the full implementation of "HTML on a prim" with http://ubrowser.com/

Sorry...this is just a curious question.
Why would you want to surf the internet inside a game that is already played over the web?
I know not everyone has dual monitors to surf on one and play on the other, but you could still do it in separate windows. I would think that would always be faster than trying to go through inside SL....especially with all the bugs from the last patch.
