Rez building script?

Hi ive been looking all over for a free script/tool that allows a customer to rez a building in front of them by touching a button. Im not sure if its possible but when a new building is rezzed id like a vendor beside it that switches to that building so the customer can use the rezzer to look inside the building but at the same time, the vendor can be payed to buy the rezzed building.

Im mainly just looking for the rezzer but would be even more happy if i could use a vendor thats linked with it.

You might want to check out the (free) Builders' Buddy script by Newfie Pendragon. It will basically let you package up a large build - then move, and reposition it easily. There are also some options that help when selling the packaged object, but I have not tried them myself.

yeah thats quite good but i kinda need something thats customer friendly, e.g when the customer touches an object the building inside is placed in front of them but they cannot move it. When they touch the next button the previous building is deleted and the new one is rezzed.

Maybe you are looking for a 'Holo-Vendor'? A vendor that contains several objects that the customer can click through, then purchase the one that they want? Not sure if this one will work for very large builds, but Hiro Pendragon has made a great (free) vendor available.

Might work if you could make a miniature version of your building for the vendor, then sell the full-sized version. Wouldn't be quite the same as having the full-sized building to wander through, tho....

I'm looking for the same thing. I build houses and scripting is a dirty word for me.

I'm trying to find a vender that will show a picture of the house and rez it on demand. If the customer wants to look at an other house then the first one is derezed and the next one is rezed.

Right now I use Rez-Faux to show my houses and sell them but it is not good for more then one house. So I have to instruct the customer to manully derez the first house before rezing the next house. The script works very well but this is the wrong application for it.

I'm even willing to pay for a custom script. Help!

yeah thats what i was trying to say heh. Theres a perfect example at west trade imports but the owner isnt willing to share it at the moment.

i believe he meants 100-200 prims, not objects, in any most chances are it is more than one object if it's that prim heavy

I know this might be a chore, but couldn't you put the whole set of objects stored as one in inventory (cuz I know alot of times you can't link something that large), but before you highlight the whole building to take it, put a die script in each object that tells it to die when the vendor arrow sends the message "next"?

I'm not a scripter, so I don't think I'd be able to make up an example to test, but I should think that this would be a working method.

What you're asking for currently doesn't exist atm. I recomend making a new thread offering a code bounty for it. Shouldn't be hard though, you could easily fuse an open source holovendor with builder-buddy (a free opensource varient on Rez-Foo & Rez-Faux) to do what you want. Alternatively while you wait you could always hand out freebie rez-faux/builder-buddy boxes with the houses inside temp-on-rez so they can only be used for demo purposes.

Check out my holo shower, it can rez whole houses. Setup is simple.

Then there is the holorezzer, it holds one object (house).
On touch it will rez a house, move it touch it again and it will rez the house on that place.
It even checks for rotations.
