Working on a forest simulation. Tree growth, overpopulation constricts, resource (water) needs, and such. I have physics clouds moving about my land checking for being over my land and such. All works well when I am logged in and there. But the physics clouds go across land boundries and get returned when I am not nearby and/or logged in. Do physics calculations get 'generalized' when no av is nearby?

Probally not. Set up a timer to turn physics on with an object up in the air. Have it IM you when it collides with something and maybe tell you it's position. No IM no physics calcualtion.

Try using non-physical movement instead. Physical objects are vulnerable to being pushed by anyone passing around with an overzealous shield.

Even somebody flying near a physical object affects it with wind.

Actually, what it came down to was that the scripted physics object was occassionally not getting enough script time and moving onto someone elses land. Once, there it got confused and wouldn't move since it wasn't over my own land. What I did was to keep track of a 'safe spot' which is the last know good position over my land. When the object finds itself on someone else's land it just does a llMoveToTarget(safespot, 0.2).
All is well and my clouds are now running fine 24x7.
