is it possible for me to take control of the entire keyboard so that F1 does one thing, space does another, etc.? or am I just limited to taking control of the movement controls and the left mouse button (why no right mouse button? :( )

You might be able to do something with gestures where F1 results in '/channel message' being said in the chat window, for instance.

you're probably right, Ziggy, but I'd be very careful about a product that relies on possibly conflicting gesture setups. people won't thank you for messing with their shortcuts :)

well, what I'm trying to do in my combat sim is have it so that instead of exiting mouselook to press a button on the HUD, the person could just press a button on their keyboard instead

Hi Senuka, yah I haven't tried much with the HUD yet, but if you can't still see and left-click-touch on the HUD while in mouselook, then...

I know you can still check for keys and have seen some people do some neat tricks such as, press duck+direction to trigger a specific event/weapon/whatever...

Also, I think it's llGetAgentInfo or something like that, which lets you see if the AV is running (Ctrl+R to toggle) or not. I haven't seen this utilized that much...

And of course, a gesture to call "/1 foo" or whatever... But there isn't a way to take control of anything beyond the normal movement keys that I know of...

Not sure if it would be worth your time,,,,i enjoy the keyboard for this game,,Buuuuut. Personally I have a Saitek P880 control pad, and i can set it up to do like 100 different programmable functions when you use the shift keys(on the pad) and i could program one key to type whole sentences if i wanted,,,,ex. pressing "x" would type /cast while fishing if you programmed it to.
