Use a small arc and rotate the object.

From: Masakazu Kojima Use a small arc and rotate the object. oooooooo nice! I had been rezzing a handful of sensors and sending list to mom to build the list, like this better.(meant I like the idea of rotation better. Gonna definitely play with this)

duh, now why didn't I think of that.... just don't forget to rotate up and down.... and remember that even with a scan radius of 45deg, and 6 scans, you'll have some holes
jesse I had the same thoughts, and that way may be faster, and not too bad on impact if using temp on rez

From: Krista Chaffe Are you saying llSesnor doesn't scan in t he vertical when you say rotate up and down ? no, I only meant that 45deg arc * 6 scans would be the same as tracing circles on the sides of a cube... notice the corners would be outside the scan zones, all the way back to the object center... the proper arc for 6 scans needs to be larger... but I'm not doing the math for it, but I'm guessing near 60deg sensors scan the +X vector, I've never tried it bu I assume you could feed it a negative arc and get it to scan the -X vector (or maybe it'd behave the same, I dunno how it's implemented)

You might also want to wait for the sensor result before rotating and calling again, *assuming* it works the same way as when you call llSensor and then change the object's position

If you take a look at the mpeg video that Masakazu provided. It looks like she has the prim the sensor is in, going up and down to fully cover the verticle. Cool!
