Not sure this is doable...
Is there a way to have an object snap a photo of an avatar who touches it? something like a photobooth.

According to the wiki, you can't:
How do I take a snapshot with LSL? A: You can't. You need both a client (to render the image) and a user (to push the button) to take a snapshot. Short of some sort of macro system running on your computer, there's no way to automate this process. http://rpgstats.com/wiki/index.php?title=Camera |

but you can have the object change a user's camera position, so that the user can take a perfect angle shot.

you can.. as was stated before, set a camera position for someone if they sit in your photo booth. Thus making "the perfect snapshot" very easy for the booth user to take. This has been done to good effect with some interesting "mirrors" in world. Also, you can make an object that "flashes" and even makes the official SL snapshot sound.
but no, you can't actually trigger the snapshot-taking-action itself. (and as a result, you can't charge for snapshots in this method. However, you can charge for use of the booth. Or you can stand in your booth all day long (or set up a bot to do it I would guess)... and when you are paid, you could take said snapshot for the visitor. Or you can do like most photographers in SL, and make appointments with people, charge them a certain fee, and set up a studio for them to pose and you take the snapshots, perhaps do some photoshop wizardry, perhaps not, and upload them for your clients. _____________________

Hi does anyone have a copy of that script that swings your camera around?
I saw a bathroom mirror that used it and i thought it was great effect. I would love a copy if anyone has one to share? |
