It should be noted that doesn't break the 31-prim limit on physical objects, merely allows you to create multiple-part objects that attempt to "stay together". Problem is, with any lag whatsoever, it looks really bad.

Outside of that "work-around", you can always try non-physical vehicles and movement. :)

...Or the other cheat of making the rest of the vehicle a carefully-aligned av attachment.

which can look just as bad, if you mess up that alignment, or aren't the perfect shape.... and lag can affect this too, not so much for the driver, but for other people watching you drive by.

Quick clarification, there are two kinds of scripts - both (that I know of) are made by Jesrad Seraph.

"Multimove" is designed to make GIGANTIC builds lumber onward. These builds are always too big to be linked as one object and are therefore built in sections out of multiple objects. The scripts help all sections move in unison. The builds move fairly smoothly, but can't roll in any way (other than rotating about the horizontal axis)

"NonPhy movement" is designed to take a single linked object (however many prims you can get on it) and move it around similar to physical movement. It can even use mouselook. So with this you can get vehicles that are 31+ prims and not have them be attachments. However, NonPhy movement is not a perfect emulation of physical movement. It's slow and clunky - for obvious reasons: it's not using physics! Still, I gotta applaud Jesrad for making these scripts. They are pretty amazing.

[Edit]
I forgot, there is another script, but its code is not open sourced...

Cubey Terra as recently unveiled his newest line of aircraft which go beyond the 31 prim limits and function (as his ads claim) to fly just as well as physical vehicles. I haven't had the chance to buy and test one out myself but I'm very eager to see if it's true - or if he's just using an already existing trick like the attachment one. Has anyone tried these?

Breaking the 31 prim limit has few secrets. There's really only a few ways around it, and there are no other real cheats or secrets to it.

A) Attachments - my preferred method
B) Multimove - ever seen an inch-worm?
C) Non-physical - nice, but as said before the flat movement is kinda weird
D) Controlled physics enabling.

The last is well..rather simplistic. Essentilally you can have the ship be 30 prims and have as many seats for avatars as you want, but the key is that until the ship is 'on', IE: Physics turned on, no one other than the driver can sit on it and will be llUnsit if they try to. Once the ship is physical, the physics engine doesn't care how many people sit on it from that point on.

Yeah, I bought his Nieuport 17, which is >100 prims. The actual vehicle is a low prim frame, and the part that you see is actually an attachment worn on the pelvis. He aligned the attachment quite perfectly, and it flies just like a normal plane. The wing flaps even move correctly when turning and pulling up - it's quite visually stunning! Honestly I feel somewhat disappointed when flying 31 prim planes anymore, because the flaps don't move.
