does anyone know if there's some kind of limitation to how much an object can rez?
before i realized the glory of llpushobject(), i would make bullets as big as possible. only problem was, whenever i sat down (to prevent recoil) and fired, the gun would be unresponsive for about a minute or two before it could fire again. i would click the mouse button, and the bullet wouldn't fire for another 60 seconds!!!!
has anyone else had this problem?? does it have anything to do with the "energy" described in the lsl wikki?

Highly probable. If the energy drops down to zero then all scripts in the object will freeze. Just a word of caution, there is a social reason for why energy was added.

This isnt directly linked to energy, but it is linked to something else.
The mass of an object directly affects the timeslice/sleep after firing. So the timeslice exponentially rises as you increase the volume of the cube.
