Multiple Texture Poofer Help

Good afternoon, this is the first time I am posting on the forums so please excuse me if my etiquette or description is not on par.

I am currently designing a range of poofers for my new section of my store.

I came across an idea to have one poofer emit different textures, rather then a customer having to buy multiple items. For example I have one that shoots out a skool of fishes, but rather the customer having to buy each unique poofer, I can have the this new script cycle through different textures.

I have read that a "texture cycle" is possible in the script. Although I must admit my terminology might be wrong. I have search through the forums to see what the command would be in the script to set the texture to multiple variety. Needless to say, I was not successful after 2 days.

Could someone help me?

not in world to try it, but if you're just wanting to cycle thru some textures you could probably use a picture cycler and modify it so that instead of changing the texture on the prim, it would change the texture of the particle. there's some that even preload the next texture so that it shows when the viewed texture is changed to it.

this one might work, just modify the particle params to make it poof instead. if you want them.



if you want them to be able to choose the texture from a menu, you could modify a texture menu to emit particles rather than texturing the prim(s)

And while you are in the learning mode on this project, stop by the Particle Laboratory for everything dealing with particles.
