Hello everyone, I'm working on a rl academic project involving AI in SL. I am aware of some people in the past who tried to implement AI. However, I know very little about current projects/advances. If anyone has some time to talk to me about the present/future of AI inworld, I'll be eternally grateful. Just shoot me an IM when you get a chance. Thanks! -Thea

I would think the hardest part about implementing AI in SL would be the tree building. Unless you have a really good alpha-beta algorithm, I believe you would fill up on the 16k limitation fast, unless you used multiple scripts to store trees.
If you figure out a way and are willing to share, please do so. I'd love to hear how you did it.

Hi Thea,
I also an SL noob, but an old hand at AI. I have thinking been about AI implementation using 'swarm' intelligence' - lots of lightweight distributed agents. Now trying to figure out how to get around the communication delays that SL presents.

A good way to get arouhnd the SL delay is multiple scripts, this of course really only works if the prims are linked. Use linked messages, but the thing about linked messages is they is a slight delay so they will not always go in order, keep that in mind. Just a friendly thought
