Panel color changs

Hi all

Is there a color script that will change a certain number of panels in a car
the one I have if I put in the car it changes every panel and texture on the vehicle.

I just need it to change certain panels

There are two ways you can do this really.

One is a list of the prim numbers that you want to change and llSetLinkColor() - it will take a little while to get all the prims, which might be noticable if you've got more than 4 or so or a really fast computer.

The other is to have a script in each prim you want to change that responds to a link message from the controller prim and changes the colour accordingly. It's more scripts, but they're not hugely resource intensive, and will give you a faster colour change. It could also be used to give you themed colours - send a "plaid" command and you could have green in some places, red in others as appropriate.
