I know how to use and modify an AO. But how can I get started on making my own custom Animation HUD?

Are there any threads that can get me started on the right track?
I want to be able to have separate buttons for sits, walks, runs, etc on the hud.

I hope to hear from someone soon.
Thanks.

Laughing because that is the thread that Modesta came from. It was suggested that she post the question here and now she is being pointed back. :p heehee

Modesta, is your AO using chat messages now to know what to do? If it is then you first need to learn to create a simple hud to demonstrate how a script knows which button was pushed. The example I put in the other thread shows how to do that. Then in your script, the actions that are performed down in the listen event with a corresponding message have to be moved up to the touch event under that particular button.

It is going to be something new to absorb but we would be glad to help you as you work through it step by step.

Cool, thanks Jesse, I'm sure I'll have questions coming up soon as I try to make my own AO HUD.
