Being rather a "noob" at scripting, I haven't found an exact answer as of yet, but can we script something to detect when a certain key is pressed?

As in: If I had a device that fired a bullet only when I press the "CTRL+G" key.

Check out the page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Control

The short answer is "yes"... the long answer is.. "only a few keys"

I know that shift can be detected in combination with left and right... You can detect left, right, up and down, shift combined with left and right, pgup and pgdown.. basically MOST of the numberpad with numlock off. And of course the left mouse button in and out of mouselook.
