Hi, is it posible to use a script to set the group for an object. I would like to have a gruopame in a notecard and have the state-entry event read that notecard and set the group for the linkset to the same (as was read from notecard ..ofcause:) I cant find anything on that tyia Ab

objects don't have group membership, only possession by, so there is no way for an object to know what groups would be valid for it to belong to.
what exactly are you trying to accomplish? if it's setting the object for use on group land, there's really no help for that other than the standard methods, if it's something else, we may be able to suggest a work around...

Not quite the same question but consider this,
I have a flowwer, it follows me around,
I rez it in sim A for which i have full perms, no problem.
I then move to sim B, i also have full perms but need to change group.
My follower cant change group like I can so auto return kicks in.
Can i get around this by makeing the follower two prims, each set to differnt groups and relink on sim crossing to chhange the group of the object.

::cough:: don't even need to change the group if you keep doing it ::cough::
(and I thought taking an object to inventory destroyed vhild prim group info (unless you meant rez separately, then compbine when you cross sims?)
