Swirly particles when object talks... how to FAKE IT?

Does anyone know what the llParticleSystem call would be, to make a particle that.. resembled the talk-swirlies?

I have an object that I want to make a noise, and I'd like it to have a little version of the swirly particle when it plays the sound, without having to resort to making it talk.

Honestly I don't think you CAN fake it. There's no way that I know of (with an LSL function) to make particles take that kind of curved path, where they don't all head for a common destination.

The white swirls are a prefab effect designed to stand out and not to be imitated.
Now move on to the hud that looks just like DEBIT_PERMISSION.

rotate a prim about its axis, with two emitter prims on each side. I'm mostly annoyed when I see the effect so I don't pay a lot of attention to what it looks like (especially when I'm in an infinite loop...grrrrr) but I think you also might need set each emitter as the other's target.

If it doesn't need to do this very often, this comes close to what you are looking for:

llSetObjectName("";);
llSay(0, "/me ";);

(I think it takes two spaces between the /me and the " which are in my post when I edit it but I only see one when I'm viewing it after posting.)

It makes a blank line appear in the chat text; no name, colon, or text message appears.

And it seems to be making the swirls.

orbit the emitter and drop slow following particlesthat should give you an aproximate starting point

how bout this?

have it say nothing. as in llSay(0,"";);

make sure the prim thats saying it has no name.

it will still leave a small chat mark.. but it will for the most part just be a :

it will supply the effect you need without drawing much attention to it.\

EDIT:nm.. noticed someone mentioned something like what i said
