This might not be the best place for this question, but I'm not aware of an alternative -- let me know if you are.

I delight in senseless acts of physics, and have created a machine that will send one flying very fast. So fast, in fact, that almost every time it causes you to rip through the SL physics engine and into some boring alternate dimension, where the only way back is to restart.

This gets old quickly.

I want the speed but would also like to keep it within a range the game can deal with.

First of all, does anybody know what that range is, and second, are there any scripts or methods to consider that will mainain the randomness and feeling of real physical movement while keeping a projectile within that range?

You really should come try my machines out. You eventually get going so fast that you start to fall apart. WACKO!
