Is there any way to do an open scan for a specific object with wildcards...

example...

I want my pet dog to fetch a stick, so i say fetch stick .... i want it to find the stick even if it's
named "A long thorny stick". Everything i've tried so far has failed due to the max 16 results in an open sensor..

Not directly. As you say a sensor return is limited to 16 items so thats the main stumbling block. You can reduce the number of returns by making a smaller sensor arc, but then you have to rotate your sensor. This would work for a dog anyway as it would need to move its head to eyeball the stick.

Coudl be fun though just say fetch and see what it gets....
