Does a HUD (heads up display) offer specific LSL functions to a scripter?

Hi,

Just wondering if HUDs offer any additional LSL functions for a scripter? I didn't see any offhand in the scripting functions list in the LSL wiki.

From a "building a system" point-of-view as a scripter do they offer anything other than an invisible display mechanism?

Tks

I don't know of any offhand and I've made quite a few HUD devices. HUDs are pretty much like any other attached object, they are just displayed on the client differently.

Nope. They can be touched and talked to just like anything else, only they only react to wearer touch since only the wearer can see them. It's just an externally invisible attachment point.
