LSL Wiki: llGetTimestamp

The letter Z stands for Zulu, the military time zone name for UTC (another name for GMT). Don't ask me why they have this function use UTC when SL has a universal time of its own based on PST/PDT.

It's because we specificly asked for a function in UTC not PST/PDT, (as PST/PDT is a pain in the but to convert to UTC)

The order of introduction of the functions was
llGetWallclock
llGetGMTclock
llGetTimestamp

If you want the PST date use the function found at llGetDate on the wiki

If you are in the Americas, you should have been subracting 8 rather than adding 4. According to Time Zone (wikipedia) PST = UCT-8
