I know that when you're struck by a damage-scripted object in a combat sim, you take damage. That stands pretty much to reason.

I've also discovered that if you are in a vehicle in a combat sim, you take damage when the same scripted object collides with the vehicle.

What I'm wondering is if it is possible to script a collision event into the vehicle to bounce the "bullet" away before it can register damage to the avatar?

I don't mean as a means to create un-fair play in a combat sim. I'm looking more as a manner of creating deflection shields for flighter craft. The kind that degrade over time. ;)

Any thoughts?
