does anyone know how to check a user's group and match it to the one inside the attachment object, i've seen it around but i cant seem to figure out how to do it. thanks in advance

i've tried that or perhaps i did something wrong... but when i set a different group on the object and attach it, it switches the current group to whichever i have currently and always says my group is correct no matter what.

Thats because your attaching it. (sorry I missed seeing it was an attachment)
An attachment will never be able to verify that someone is in the right group, because attachments assume the group of the wearer. _____________________

Now why didn't I think of that, lol probably because I can't script to save my life.
Of course the only pain with that is the group key is hard coded in the script, but depending on the purpose that might be fine. _____________________

You can also use llSameGroup to check against hardcoded group keys.
