I did a search, I really did. But I can't find out how to disable that awful particle swirl that happens when a script is activated...the script I'm working on rezzes particles so I can't turn off the RenderParticles in the Advanced..

Is there something in the Debug Menu? I really hate it and wonder why its there?

I think the dreaded swirly is an unredeemable feature of SL. It happens whenever you have a script that chats something........very annoying.

As Rolig says it's a result of any valid chat command that you happen to receive. If your issue is particularly with new scripts, then you could save an empty script (just a default state with an empty state_entry()) to your inventory and drag it out instead of using the new script button?

no can do, scripts talk, you can hear it, it shows up for you... you'd have to edit the client

Oh my heavens, you mean its the chat function? I was just using that to test it..to see if the touch_start was working.

Hope is blossoming in my heart as I rush off to get rid of the chat...

Oh joy, it worked..no script of mine will ever shout, chat or whisper again..thanks so much!
