Anyone know if two scripts in the same object can emit particles at the same time? Or is it one particle stream per obj?

I'm fairly certain you can only have 1 particle system per prim. As with floating text, it's actually associated with the prim, not the script. The script is only used to set its parameters -- even if you remove the script, the particle system will remain.

You can fake it with overlapping prims if need be. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to llMessageLinked(llDumpList2String) and then llParticleSystem(llParseString2List) =)
