Is there a collection of basic scripts somewhere? like ones that have most of the code set, and you'd just need to throw in specifics like numbers, names, objects, etc. For things like turning lights and off, or listening for an owner's command. I saw the collection in the LSLwiki, but those are a little specific. Maybe I overlooked something. <--- likely

You could try the big box of scripts in Yadni's junkyard, although they're not exactly very well commented IIRC.

Basic Scripts

There is a library of scripts in the InfoNet system, for which terminals can be found at "InfoHubs" scattered around the mainland continents. Also, try the scrtipting Wiki ( http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=HomePage) for examples and a library of scripts.
