Hi
I don't know anything about scripting, but I have a sim with a number of rental homes with scripted furniture, rental boxes etc as well as clubs with both group and individual dance balls etc. I set a box a few days ago which contains a script to sell its contents for L$0 (Clothing) and had some trouble with it, so I removed the box from the property.

This is a new rental sim which I am just finishing up.

I noticed an icon sitting on the ground maybe a week ago, about exactly center of my sim which looks like a scripting icon with a yellow triangle on it. As I get near it, it gets smaller and as I go away from it it gets bigger.

If I click it it displays "Script warning/error" 121.99,131.26 and underneath is a 12-13 digit number with a decimal in the middle. The body of the error says:

7295333.000000: Could not find object 'Object'.
7295333.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
7295333.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
7295333.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
7295333.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
5577485.000000: Could not find object 'Object'.
5577485.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
5577485.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
5577485.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
4471443.000000: Could not find object 'Object'.
4471443.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
4471443.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
4471443.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
4471443.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
8124636.000000: too many errors... dropping further messages until the flood stops
3426207.000000: Unable to give inventory: 'No item named 'Object'.'.
167713.812500: Could not find object 'Object'.

This is a continuous flow of errors.

It is obvious to me that something is trying to give something to somebody, but not sure what. I've deleted my rental server, which is used to disperse notecards & landmarks to ppl who click the rental boxes thinking this may be the culprit, but the error continues.

I'd delete the rental boxes to see if they are causing this, but they contain active tennant information, and not sure if these are even the cause.

This script warning keeps dissappearing then immediately re-appearing right in the middle of my beach, right in the middle of my sim.

This error has been running all the time, even nobody even on the sim except myself - so nobody requesting any objects (That I know of)
I've been doing a lot of work rather quickly on the sim and can't really pin point exactly when this error began, otherwise I'd have a better idea what it might be from.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

In the error message, the part before the ":" is the name of the prim giving the error, so either the object is renaming itself or there are multiple objects throwing this error. The floating "script icon" appears above the center of the prim, in the same manner as floating text. To locate the object you could use a scanner, or try dragging an area selection in Edit, if you uncheck "select by surrounding" in the Tools menu (the Tools menu is now only visible after you open Edit mode, which you can do with ctl-3).

You can also perhaps "see" a hidden prim using View->Highlight Transparent from the menu (or ctl-alt-T) to put red smudges on transparent prim faces.

Thank U Boss, I followed your suggestion, found a hidden prim and deleted it.

Problem solved.

Thanks

Was the object owned by you?

If not, these griefers are getting rather creative.... ;)
