I tried this in Technical Issues with no takers.. so I'll ask here...
Is llTargetOmega borked.. I'm doing a child rotation, and it works, but when I re-rez it or just leave it for a while, it stops working, anyone know a workaround?

I experienced this yesterday.
To overcome it I copied the code to clipboard, deleted the script from 'Contents', 'New Script', pasted the code back into the new script & re-compiled. All was then fine.
No idea why this was necessary tho'

I think it's safe to say, though, that llTargetOmega is indeed b0rked. Some of the comments on hint at the range of misbehavior one might encounter with this function. (The stuff I see is so nearly random that I can never devise a coherent reproducible-case description.)

Even if it is a real life adult *pretending* to be a chile, it is against the TOS to be seen rotating one.

From: Lee Ponzu Even if it is a real life adult *pretending* to be a chile, it is against the TOS to be seen rotating one. Which is why you have to do it indoors where people can't see.

Ok, now I've figured out it's still rotating, but the prim seems to move position between creation, taking into inventory, and re-rezzing... what it is is a spotlight. I used a dimpled sphere to 'move' the centerpoint to the tip of the 'cone'. Then, using the script I found here on the forum, I'm successfully perfoming the rotation I want.. (basicly a downward pointing search pattern). But when I re-rez it, the 'cone' spins in place. If I manually edit it, and tilt it a bit on the Y axis, it then does the searching motion I want, but dragging a copy, or taking into inventory and re-rezzing causes it to change position essentially. Sorry if this is tough to follow, but I'm having difficulty describing what's going on here.
