Looking for a mailing list script

I'm looking for a "mailing list" script that will send out a notecard to everyone that's in the list. I would also love to see the ability for people to click on an object to add their name to the list. Anything like that out there?

It's easy enough to do, but the issue is that lsl scripts are limited for memory. I'm not sure what the limit would be for this, but somewhere around 100 names on the list would be my guess.

To make it go past that becomes increasingly messy (although doable), to the point the best answer is storing the data off world and sending it that way. That starts costing RL money for the hosting, unless you find someone that will really do it free.

If you want to try the purely in world one IM me sometime and I'll set it up if no one's already got one.

I have a script to do this, which is part of something I am developing. As Eloise said, there are limitations in size, and even with off world storage, there can still be complications, depending on your requirements.

What sort of numbers and frequency were you looking at? Do you want people to be able to remove themselves from the list as well? Is anyone allowed to subscribe? Are they subscribing for read-only, or posting as well? How do you want to post information to the list?

Thanks for the reply everyone. The purpose of this for me is strictly a way to promote things going on at my art gallery. I want people to be able to subscribe to it and then when things like exhibitions come to the gallery, etc, I'll be able to send out a notecard to everyone interested. Having them have the ability to unsubscribe would be helpful too.

I don't expect a lot of traffic to be honest, so 100 names would work perfect for me.

I've got a Mass Mailer on SLX that does this. I'm working on a module that will allow users to add themselves to the list. Updates will be provided to buyers for free once this module is complete.

I don't plan to use it enough to justify spending L$1500 on it, but thanks for the offer.

Someone in game IM'ed me saying they have an L$85 script that does just what I want, so I jumped on it and so far it looks great!
