Teleport through a Dialog Menu

Is there a way to do a teleport through a dialog menu? I've tried a number of different ways to do this and I cannot seem to make it work.

You can do a setpos tper that way relatively easily - you sit on the object, choose a destination, and off you go.

A sit-hack one, using the sit target - not once you're sat on it, although you could touch the tper, use a menu to choose the destination and then "sit" on it for a tp.

with out llTeleportagent you cant do teleports, unless its back to the av's home point

infact the current sit teleporters rely on a trick in the llSitTarget function, which allows you to fine tune the sit point of the object... and happens to have a 300m range

this rather large hole in a online world of SL's vastness, to me is totally silly, supposedly the teleport agent functions are just around the bend... wouldnt hold my breath for it tho, its already 2 versions late and quickly falling into the mile long list of BS vaporfeatures

What I'm trying to do is eliminate the "sit" portion. As it is now, I have a number of balls with touch teleport scripts to send me to the various construction labs I have around my land (300ft in the air).

I want to par it down so I have a single object I can touch, select a destination from the dialog menu and be teleported.

Everything I have tried has failed so far.

You can still use llMapDestination

Use the dialog to set the sim and position - then the next time they touch a flag is set saying "position entered" and the map is brought up - one click on teleport and away you go.

Yes teleportagent would be nice - but i get the feeling they are going to code it the same way as mapdestination so that it will only fire in a touch event or something effectively using the same code as mapdestination - just removing the map bit first.
