This has been eluding me for a long time.... I want to duplicate the name tags we see on our avatars (when the bubble opacity is at zero). It's some kind of orange, but I could never get it close enough. Has anyone figured out what the color vector is?

Well, "close enough" is the best you can expect since no two people have the same color profiles set on their monitors. Still, you ought to be able to get close enough with either of two methods. One is to take a screen shot that shows your name tag, open it in Photoshop and use its Eyedropper tool to grab the color from the image. Once you have the color, you can read out the RGB numbers from the PS color console. Paint Shop Pro and GIMP give you that same functionality.

The other option is to open the Advanced menu in SL and go to the submenu for UI settings, where you'll find a control way at the bottom that lets you turn on "Display Color Under Cursor." Once that's activated, the RGB values for whatever is under your cursor are shown in tiny numbers at the lower right corner of your screen.
