spurlock and brenner physics issues?

Has anyone noticed weird physics issues in spurlock and brenner while piloting vehicles? I was drifting through both last night in hank ramos' open-source touring balloon and WHAM! Thrown to the sea floor and a slow spin starts up.

I tried resetting the scripts, stop/starting the balloon, changing altitude etc.. no luck. As soon as I physically edited the balloon into one of the neighboring sims, everything snapped back to normal. I drifted around a bit in sea cliff and baku, no problems. As soon as I crossed the border to spurlock, WHAM! Back to the sea floor.

I've seen similar issues with some other craft but hank's balloon is open source so I could look at the code. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Anyone else notice this problem?

I did speak with Hank and he said he's seen it happen before in other void sims.

Void sims are notoriously difficult to traverse in vehicles. They're basically four seperate sims running on one processor, a server that was phased out of hosting an active sim because it wasn't fast enough.

So far as I know, there isn't a fix or any advice that can be offered. That experience is pretty typical right now. It might be a lot better with Havok 2 in the upcoming 1.7 release, but it's also entirely possible that it could be WORSE.
