This issue has been a hotbed of discussion between myself and some other scripters I know, but I've never seen any real discussion or explaination. Does anyone know why when you run a timer and send a linked message from the timer event, everything in world "jumps"? You can sometimes see this too with vendors, when you click them to use them, they will suddenly shift position, as the link messages kick off. And for the first time tonight, with the latest viewer, (1.14.0) I noticed if I was editing a prim's contents while wearing something with a link message timer going, the inventory listing of the prim would also jump in time with the link message (it was a seperate prim I was editing, not the one sending link messages).
Why would link messages cause things in world to jump or move? And is there any trick to prevent or mitigate this, besides "don't use a link message"?
