Hi All

When I put a script into any object and then try and open the script from the object, it doesnt let me view the script and always brings up a error message saying 'insufficient permission to view script'.

Both the objects and scripts are both full perm and this occurs for both my objects and those created by other friends.

Does any one how I can view the scripts again?

Many Thanks for any help

'insufficient permission to view script' means what it says.
If you insist you have full permissions: Modify, Copy and Transfer, but still can't read the script you found some serious error in the SL software and you should report it.

Can you read the script when you open it in your inventory?

Hi, smokey. Did you create the scripts you're putting in the objects? "Next owner" permissions are not applied until a thing is rezzed, and it sounds to me like the 'next owner' permissions for the scripts you're using might not be full perm?

Try this: rez a box. Make it full perm. Go to the "content" tab and hit new script. Save it. Can you open it up again and read it?

are the scripts in deeded objects?

another similar one is that you can't open scripts in locked objects (but you don't get a warning so I doubt that's it)

I sometimes get that when SL is a bit borked; I assume it's because the sim is having difficulty retrieving the relevant data about permissions from wherever it's kept.

Hi Guys

Thanks for your ideas and support.

I have tried it again today and all back as normal, so I am putting it down as being sl being borked and the sandbox that I was working in !! lol

Thanks again for your help
