Setting sit target on-the-fly

I'm sure I saw a thread about this recently but I can't find it now.

I've just created an object with a built-in pose, and I've got the sit target working perfectly for my avatar. However, of course, it's off for other avatars based on height.

I know I can get the height of an avatar, and I know I can use some math to work out the offset. What I'm not sure of is if I can somehow do that between when they click on 'sit' and before they actually sit. I seem to recall reading that you can't change the sit target after someone's sitting on it (or if you do, it doesn't matter).

Failing that, is there any other way to move an avatar up or down slightly after they have sat down, without moving the rest of the object at all?

Thanks!

You can't change the sit target once someone sits on it, at least not at that time. there are two options you can do, have them touch the object first and make the adjustment, then tell them to sit, or you can move the prim the sit target is in, by the amount you need to move the sit target, then when they get up, move it back to it's original position.
