llMoveToTarget too weak? Was in http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1202 ; was closed, but now stuff that worked after havok 4, is suddenly getting hit by llMoveToTarget too weak. Anyone else?

Hmm, not sure, I'm currently working on a bot that travels around using llMoveToTarget(), but the sim I rent in is still running Havok 1. I'll have to find a sim running 4 and test it out. I had done some tests when Havok 4 was still on the beta grid, and it seemed to be doing fine then. I'll have to go check it out.

I am having an issue though... my bot gets around by traveling to waypoints. For some reason, sometimes, (but not always), it seems to bottom out and fall a bit. There's not alot of processing going in when the target waypoint is reached.. it simply increments the waypoint counter, and returns to the patrolling state. (it jumps temporarily to a 'target reached' state, then back to a patrolling state. Any ideas on that? I'm working in a sim that is still running Havok 1.

Well, found a solution to my problem... seems that the execution can vary depending on the sim conditions, and sometimes, when the target_reached state is called, if the sim is lagging a bit, it can take longer than usual to get through what the state does. I had a duh moment, and set the buoyancy to 1.0, and that cured that. :)

@Johan

It is very unlikely that your sim is still on havok 1 as the big rollout has already taken place. All of SL except mayhaps a beta grid sim or two are on H4.

Hey Johan,

Yeah, I think your sim is indeed on Havok 4. I'm there right now, and here's how it reports in that bedroom where you have all the coloured balls:

You are at 202286.1, 298305.9, 22.0 in Midas Northwest located at sim5605.agni.lindenlab.com (8.2.34.161:13005)
Second Life Server 1.20.0.83892

(just kidding bout the bedroom / coloured balls bit, hehe).

Well, doesnt havok 4 allow u to rez up to 1024? I tried moving a box above 768, and it wouldnt go, and I asked the sim owner if he was still on 1, and he said yes... idk?

Not yet - they need to change the UI before you can rez stuff in orbit.

While you're on that sim, do Help->About Second Life and look for the simulator version. If it's 1.20.something, you're on H4.

edit: and yes, as other said above, you're almost definitely on H4. You can double check by looking at the sim version, though.
