Sending info to more than one object

Forgive my ignorance, but I've been struggling with this all day (both in world and with the wiki) and I'm stumped.

Lets say I have linked objects A, B and C.
I want them to react, in unison, to information generated by a single script (or scripted object).

I've toyed with llMessageLinked but I can't get it to do anything.
All I've learned is that the root object is link number 1, the next object is 2 and the third object is three...

Is llMessagelinked the best way to do this? If so, how do I get this to work?

If not, what should I be doing instead?

Thanks in advance

Try using "LINK_SET" as the target link number for llMessageLinked. That'll broadcast the command to every linked prim.

Some other useful constants:

LINK_ALL_OTHERS - self-explanatory

LINK_THIS - self-explanatory

LINK_ALL_CHILDREN - sends message to all linked primitives with a higher link number than the sender.
