Hey guys, I need to make a script where I see people walking round with, click me for a free gift and it redirects to a website. Does anyone know I could do this ?

Its not spam, I am not trying to go make a chat thing that constantly says click me. Ive seen this everywhere. I want something when someone clicks my avatar or an object it just redirects them to a website.

I am almost certain that clicking an attachment is like clicking the avatar, so you can not trigger a touch event this way
I take it back, attached objects can trigger a touch event _____________________

What ive seen is someone wearing a big transparent box, with a small sign saying click me and it got up a kind of notice card with a link saying (Go To Page). Looked cool how can i do this?

I'm pretty sure Dora is right. An attachment is treated as a part of the avatar. A touch event will not work. The only thing I can think of is that if you right click on an avatar, pull up her profile, and go to the WEB tab, you can link to her web site from there. A "Click Me" sign that has those instructions could be mildly useful. Personally, I would never click on someone wearing a "click me" sign anyway, though. Visual spam.

hmm, i donno ive seen many people do this with those things of free LS, like someone walking round wearing something that says click me for free L$. Also i have seen someone wearing a sign on his head that was sculpted and this sign appeared to rotate constantly meaning there must have been some script in it even tho it was attached.

what they are all trying to tell you is that "click me, to get a redirect to a web page that has nothing to do with why you are clicking" is a really bad idea. and could get you AR's depending on how you put it together....
however, I'll break with consensus because it's mostly harmless. the function you are looking for is llLoadURL. alternatively if you don't feel up to coding it yourself then you need to ask someone else to do it in the "Products Wanted". and I expect someone will charge you a pretty penny, for something they consider ridiculously tacky and lame.... on the bright side I don't they'll hide their name in it... who would want credit for that. _____________________
