Hello,
How about this. I know the physical linked limit is 31 prims. So if you build a vechicle with up to 31 prims. will it not work when the Avatar sits in it and is now linked to it?

Yes, they do. An avatar will not be able to sit if it would put the vehicle over the physical vehicle prim limit.

The prim limit for the desired vehicle can be calculated as 31 - number of avatars you want to be able to sit on the vehicle.

There is a correction to this...if the avatar sits on the vehicle After physics have already been enabled, then there is no problem if it would make the prim count be higher than 31. So essentially as long as the ship is started first, you could have as many people sit on it as you can fit.

So essentially as long as the ship is started first, you could have as many people sit on it as you can fit. As long as it doesn't loose physics, which happens from time to time. Most people put a little check in their script to re-enable physics if this happens, so you hardly notice, but if you are above 31 prims, this won't work.

Avatars also count in non-physical objects. If was creating an office with seats, all to be one object rezzed on demand, and found that if I wanted 20 ppl to sit on it, I was limited to 235 prims, instead of 255 (or is it 236 instead of 255).. On the plus side... Having avatars be part of the linkset allows manipulating their position/rotation like you could other children Lyn
